frank

Frank matrix

Syntax

f = frank(n)

Arguments

n

real scalar

f

n x n matrix

Description

f = frank(n) returns the Frank matrix.

The Frank matrix is a matrix defined by

f(n) = \begin{bmatrix} n \ \ n-1 \ \ n-2 \ \ ... \ \ 2 \ \ 1
                \\ n-1 \ \ n-1 \ \ n-2 \ \ ... \ \ 2 \ \ 1
                \\ 0 \ \ n-2 \ \ n-2 \ \ ... \ \ 2 \ \ 1
                \\ ... \ \ ... \ \ ... \ \ ... \ \ ... \ \ ...
                \\ 0 \ \ 0  \ \ ... \ \ 0 \ \ 1 \ \ 1 \end{bmatrix}.
