Description

Use the following names to get help on a specific symbol.

operator name in Scilab help

+ plus
- minus
*, .*, *. star
.*. kron
.\., ./. krondivide
/, ./, /. slash
//, /* */ comments
\, .\ ,\. backslash
. dot
=, == equal
<,>,>=,<=,<> less, greater
~ tilde
[] brackets
() parentheses
% percent
: colon
, comma
; semicolon
^, .^ hat, power
|, || or_op
&, && and_op
$ dollar

For historical reasons, different symbols may represent the same operator:

@ is equivalent to ~

` is equivalent to <

** is equivalent to ^.

It is highly recommended not to use these features, because they will be removed in the future.
