logical comparison symbol

<>

means "different" (same as ~=)

<

means "less than"

>

means "greater than"

<=

means less than or equal to.

>=

means greater than or equal to

Examples

(1:5)==3
(1:5)<=4
(1:5)<=[1 4 2 3 0]
1<[]

  • ~ (not)'s priority is now higher than <, <=, > and >= one. For instance, ~3<1 is parsed as (~3)<1 instead of ~(3<1) and now yields an error instead of %T.
  • A>[], A>=[], A<[], A<=[], []>A, []>=A, []<A, and []<=A now return [] instead of an error.
