zeros (Matlab function)

Create an array of all zeros

Matlab/Scilab equivalent

Matlab Scilab
zeros
zeros(n)
zeros(sz1, .., szN)
zeros(Sizes)
zeros(.., typename)
zeros(.., 'like', p)

% No equivalent
zeros()
zeros(n, n)
zeros(sz1, .., szN)
repmat(0, Sizes)
zeros(.., typename)
// No equivalent

zeros(A)  // only size(A) is considered
With Matlab, Sizes, sz1, sz2, .. can be complex. Then, only their real parts are used as actual sizes. Scilab would yield an error.

Examples

Matlab Scilab
B = zeros(2)
B = [0,;0,0]
B = zeros(2,2)
B = [0,0;0,0]
B = zeros([3,3])
B = [0,0,0;0,0,0;0,0,0]
B = zeros(2)
B = 0
B = zeros(2,2)
B = [0,0;0,0]
B = zeros([3,3])
B = [0,0]
