h2norm

H2 norm of a continuous time proper dynamical system

Syntax

n = h2norm(Sl)
n = h2norm(Sl, tol)

Arguments

Sl

Proper linear dynamical system in non-discrete (continuous or undefined) time domain

n

real scalar

Description

produces the H2 norm of a linear continuous time system Sl.

(For Sl in state-space form h2norm uses the observability gramian and for Sl in transfer form h2norm uses a residue method)

VersionDescription
5.4.0 Sl is now checked for non-discrete (continuous or undefined) time linear dynamical system. 2025.0.0 h2norm(Sl [,tol]) is obsolete when Sl is a matrix of doubles and will be removed in 2026.0.0.
