log

natural logarithm

Syntax

y = log(x)

Arguments

x, y

arrays of real or complex numbers, of any number of dimensions and of any identical sizes.

Description

log(x) is the "element-wise" logarithm y(i,j)=log(x(i,j)). For matrix logarithm, see logm.

log(…) can be overloaded for unsupported input types.

Examples

exp(log([1,%i,-1,-%i]))
