pathsep

provides the path separator used in the PATH environment variable of the current OS.

Syntax

s = pathsep()

Arguments

s
a character: ";" on Windows, or ":" on Linux.

Examples

pathsep()
getenv PATH
tokens(getenv("PATH"), pathsep())
--> pathsep()
 ans  =
  ";"

--> getenv PATH
  "C:\Windows\system32;C:\Windows;C:\Windows\System32\Wbem;C:\Windows\System32\OpenSSH\; ..."

--> tokens(getenv("PATH"), pathsep())
 ans  =
  "C:\Windows\system32"
  "C:\Windows"
  "C:\Windows\System32\Wbem"
  "C:\Windows\System32\OpenSSH\"
  "C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\PhysX\Common"
  "C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\NVIDIA NGX"
